Hyaluron Pen Procedure

This procedure is not a medical procedure, but rather a cosmetic one.

It is painless, with immediate results, and for most there is little or no down time at all.

Hyaluron Pen treatment is a quick fix and is semi permanent. It is a process over 2 or 3 sessions to achieve the desired result.

It can last 4 - 6 months, but this varies from person to person. Various factors including lifestyle, sun exposure, medications, hormones, exercise can influence retention greatly.

Because HA is used up in the body, regular top ups are required.

You need to be certain you are a good candidate for this procedure and keep your expectations absolutely realistic.

GET INFORMED

First, we just suggest you do some research on the Hyaluron Pen Procedure. You are very welcome to do it on our website. Just get an overview of what the procedure is all about, how it is carried out and what are the most common questions regarding that. Be careful what you come across though on the web in general. Not all information is correct and truthful...

BE PREPARED FOR SOME REDNESS

Better safe than sorry, they say. Yes, although there is very rarely any serious redness, we still suggest you do prepare for some redness and/or minimum swelling on your lip area or facial skin, that may occur just after the procedure. Different types of skin react differently to the procedure so just keep that in mind when making plans for the next couple of hours after the Hyaluron Pen treatment appointment.

COME TO THE PROCEDURE WITH MINIMAL MAKEUP.

If at all possible, avoid any make up or creams on the area you would like us to work on. This ensures better product penetration and minimizes the risk of infection and/or cross-contamination. You are welcome to wear you normal make up on any area that does not require our attention. :-)

BE CAREFUL WITH THE FOLLOWING MEDICATIONS.

There are some medications that we suggest you avoid taking 48 hours prior to your appointment. This include any blood thinners and pain medications as these may cause complications with the procedure. If you are taking any chronic medication (including vitamins) please inform us asap.

CONSUMING ALCOHOL & TAKING SUPPLEMENTS BEFORE THE PROCEDURE.

Avoid drinking any alcohol and other stimulating and/or blood thinning drinks such as coffee, energy drinks, etc. Stop taking all vitamins and supplements a week before, especially fish oils, omegas and vitamin E which thin the blood. These will make you more sensitive and could result in excess swelling, bleeding and bruising.

PLEASE AVOID PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN RETlN A

In case you are using topical products that contain a significant amount of Retin A, we suggest you reduce the usage of those one week before the procedure, this concerns the facial area only. Basically, when you know when your appointment time is coming up, just cut down using these products on the area of the treatment. That also concerns products that contain a significant amount of Vitamin A. Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or hair removal cream on the area to be treated for 3 days prior. If you are taking any form of oral Retin A (usually for acne prone skin) please let us know how long you have been taken them asap.

IF YOU ARE A BLOOD-DONOR.

It is not in your best interest to go donate blood on the appointment day. Basically, that might just strain your body too much and you might start feeling weak. As well as there may be some issues regarding the contents of your blood the day after the procedure, so delay donating then too.

OTHER PROCEDURES, FILLERS etc.

To achieve the best result regarding the Premier Hyaluron Pen Pro you should not have other treatments that concern the dermal layer of your skin of the same area 2 weeks prior to the appointment. In addition to injections that actually concerns also other types of skin rejuvenation procedures, such as lasers, microdermabrasion, chemical procedures etc.

BE OPEN ABOUT YOUR ALLERGIES OR CHRONIC ILLNESSES.

Be sure to tell our Hyaluron Pen treatment professional everything you consider even mildly important about the chronic illnesses or allergies you might have. Please list everything you know about cosmetic substances that have had a negative effect on your skin.

Whilst allergies are not common, you may request an allergy test at your expense, 48 hours prior to your procedure.

Be aware that you are obligated to complete an additional statement about the state of your health and everything affecting that (such as pregnancy, breast feeding, any sort of neurological disorders in your past, etc) in the salon.

In case you have ever experienced * oral herpes * and you wish to have a Hyaluron Pen Procedure on your lips, you should undergo ordinary oral herpes treatment 2 weeks (or at least a few days before) prior to the procedure (even if there are no visual signs of herpes seen). If you have previously suffered from * facial cold sores *, there is a risk that the procedure could contribute to another eruption of cold sores.

Hyaluron Pen Risks

Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally in the body and thus allergy is extremely uncommon and highly unlikely. However, an allergy to anything is always possible.

You will experience some redness and swelling immediately after for a few hours.

There is a risk of bruising or swelling in places which can take a few days to subside. Makeup can be applied to conceal any bruising.

There is a risk of the serum not spreading and causing a small nodules. These will usually soften and disappear over time, but if you prefer, the serum can be dissolved by an aesthetic doctor with injection of hyaluronidaise, the same way other injectable fillers are dissolved. This will be your decision and cost.

Uncommon risks include granulomas, blood vessel occlusion, necrosis which will require immediate medical attention.

If you're unsure, it's best to consult your doctor for approval.
